i was disappointed in my bunker play the last few weeks.i spent the last 5 days fine tuning it.something that helped me may also help you.here is what i did.first i drew my lines in the sand, then i worked on tracing my plane line.remember your target line and plane line may be different if you go open open to your target line.then i worked on all my hinge action seeing the difference in trajectory and spin.one other thing that helped was to make my practice swing over the top of the ball, this enabled me to visulize my lines.then it is a matter of giving the sand a good thumping.funny enough i have it lined out now.hope this helps everyone who is need of a good bunker lesson.lines don't lie
John - what are some of the 'tour tricks' for reading the sand? I am quite good at the flop shot, even from a bare lie, but I often have bunker trouble because I don't read the sand well enough, assuming it is softer/harder than it really is. Using my feet does help of course. Any other tricks?

great question.yes i do use all hinge actions out of the bunker.i use them to control trajectory.i do not think of lag pressure,i just do it.my bunker game has really improved here of late and i contribute it to using my dowel rods
